This small beach is a mix of small pebbles and sand. It faces west but it is tucked in by trees and hills so it is most often shady even at midday in the summer. The parking lot has a small grassy area and a picnic table. The Park is open all year long for daytime use. It is a great place to relax after a long bike ride on a hot day.
This Park is one of many great spots at the southern end of Lopez Island. From the Village head south on Fisherman Bay Road, go right on Kjargaard Road that turns into Richardson Road, then a gentle left onto Vista Road. Take a right onto Mud Bay Road, and keep going south until you take a right on Aleck Bay Road. Then straight ahead onto Watmough Bay Road continue going straight on Huggins Road and then take a right down towards the water. The beach is down a steep wooden staircase.
